Angel Reach

Foster Care | Angel Reach is a faith-based nonprofit organization that helps children and youth achieve their full potential in spite of the obstacles placed on them by broken families and a broken system. Angel Reach is also the umbrella organization for Shared Treasures (clothing for Foster Care children) and Angel’s Loft (Furniture for those emerging from Foster Care).


Angel Tree

At-Risk Children | Provide Christmas gifts, toys and clothing for the children of people who are incarcerated and cannot care for their families. This ministry is part of Prison Fellowship (Prisonfellowship.org/about/angel-tree). Volunteer opportunities include serving as shoppers, coordinators and food/gift delivery teams.


Champion Project

Foster Care | The Champion Project is a trauma-informed mentoring program that works in local group homes to help provide stability and consistency in the lives of teens in foster care. Imagine if a small investment of your time could result in a child avoiding these horrific outcomes. As a mentor, you could change not only their lives, but the lives of the generations that follow them.


Christian Restorative Justice Mentors Association

Prison Ministry | CRJMA’s vision is that every incarcerated inmate has the opportunity to make a successful transition into the free world through a Christ-centered mentoring program.


Christmas Miracles

At-Risk Children & Senior Adults | Christmas Miracles helps underprivileged children and senior adults celebrate a joyous Christmas season with gifts and food. Volunteers are needed to serve as collectors and shoppers.


Community Christian Legal Aid

At-Risk Families | Community Christian Legal Aid is a faith-based nonprofit that hosts Legal Aid clinics for those who are at-risk and in need of legal services in our community on the fourth Saturday (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) of each month.


Compassion United

Homeless Ministry | Compassion United provides outreach, relief and empowerment in the lives of the poor, homeless, addicted, and outcast in Montgomery County.


Craft Circle

Creative Ministry | Ladies of all ages meet each Tuesday to enjoy crafting, fellowship and lunch. The year culminates in November with two events featuring handmade and holiday items for sale and auction: The Boutique and Chef’s Favorites, and the annual Masterpiece Gala and Auction.


Creative Hands Ministry

Creative Ministry | We can use all skill levels to help cut, assemble, organize, iron and sew projects ranging from blankets for the homeless to tote bags for Human Trafficking victims. No experience necessary.



College-Age Discipleship | Cru is an inter-denominational Christian ministry that began in 1951. Today it's a global movement of God impacting over 190 countries. At Texas State, their vision is to introduce students and faculty to Jesus Christ, build them up in their faith, and launch them out to change the world.


Driving Family Futures

At-Risk Families | Our Missions Ministry accepts donations of vehicles to provide transportation for individuals and families working to get back on their feet. The Woodlands UMC receives the cars, but does not donate the vehicles directly to individuals or families. We partner with local ministries (Homeless, Foster Care and Transition Homes) to match donated cars with those who are actively pursuing ways to improve their current circumstances.


Elizabeth’s Place

At-Risk Women and Families | Elizabeth's Place is a ministry of The Woodlands UMC with the sole purpose of supporting and mentoring expectant and very young mothers. Elizabeth's Place encourages expectant and very young mothers as they take on the responsibilities of their new parenting role. If you are a woman who has a heart for very young mothers, we would love to talk to you about how you can support this important ministry.


Family Promise

Homeless Ministry | The vision of Family Promise is to alleviate homelessness for families with children. Family Promise provides housing and food through partner churches during a 90-day period while the parents are encouraged/mentored towards finding employment and providing a stable environment for their children.


Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

Evangelism and Discipleship Ministry | FCA’s mission is to lead coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.


Geezer Squad

Construction Ministry | The Geezer Squad, a ministry of The Woodlands UMC, is a group of approximately 50 retired or semi-retired volunteers who share the love of Christ with our neighbors in Montgomery County through building wheelchair ramps and decks. They also provide leadership for our teams when sponsoring Habitat for Humanity house builds.


Generation One

At-Risk Children | Generation One’s mission is to impact the future by empowering children to reach their fullest potential. Located in the Third Ward of Houston, Generation One dedicates itself to the spiritual growth and physical rebuilding of impoverished areas to champion systematic change in the educational system, specifically, in early childhood education.


God’s Garage

At-Risk Women | God’s Garage recognizes the needs faced by single ladies, widows, and wives of deployed military as they struggle to make ends meet. Many lack reliable transportation. A predominantly volunteer-led team works to help repair their vehicles. God’s Garage also receives donated cars, repairs them and gifts them to women who have participated in the financial budgeting course. God’s Garage is a faith-based ministry that relies on donated cars and parts to bridge the troubled times in many people’s lives.


Habitat for Humanity

Construction Ministry | Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operating on Christian principles that seek to put God's love into action by building homes, communities and hope.


Hope Beyond Bridges

Homeless Ministry | We serve together with Hope Beyond Bridges the second Saturday of every month to deliver meals to the homeless along I-45.


Human Trafficking Awareness

Modern day slavery is a real problem that occurs in our own backyard. We partner with local ministries and agencies to provide clothing bags for those rescued out of human trafficking situations. We also provide volunteer opportunities, as needed.


Interfaith Community Clinic

Medical Ministry | Interfaith Community Clinic is a volunteer based health care center whose primary goal is to provide medical, dental, mental health counseling and social service support to those in our community who have no form of health insurance.


Journey Home

Women in Crisis | Christ-centered nonprofit maternity home for women who have nowhere else to turn during their pregnancies. The home offers housing, spiritual encouragement and practical support through birthing and parenting classes. It exists to empower these women to live the lives God intended for them.


Jubilee Prison Ministry

Prison Ministry | Jubilee is a cross-denominational Christian program, focused on inmates serving less than 5 years, that is designed to engage incarcerated men and women in a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.


Kairos Prison Ministries

Prison Ministry | The mission of the Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities.


Little Footprints Children's Mission

At-Risk Children | Little Footprints helps street babies and moms by providing practical assistance enabling them to break the cycles of poverty, abuse, neglect, and when needed, referrals for short or long term care through Loving Houston Adoption Agency.


Love 146, Inc.

Human Trafficking Awareness | Love146 is an international human rights organization working to end child trafficking and exploitation through survivor care and prevention.


Love Fosters Hope

Foster Care Ministry | Love Fosters Hope has many facets, but one purpose: to impact the lives of children and teens in foster care who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.


Methodist Children's Home

At-Risk Children | Methodist Children’s Home provides services to children and youth daily through residential care, foster care and other services.


Montgomery County Food Bank

Feeding the Hungry | The Montgomery County Food Bank warehouses and distributes food to approximately 50 member agencies throughout Montgomery County.


Montgomery County Women's Center

Women in Crisis | The Montgomery County Women's Center provides a 24-hour hotline, safe shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy and legal services to survivors of family violence, sexual assault and stalking.


Pregnancy Assistance Center North

Women in Crisis | PACN is a non-profit medical clinic offering confidential services for women and men with access to unbiased, client-centered care that is compassionate and accurate, especially when facing an unplanned pregnancy or sexual health concern.


Redeemed Ministries

Human Trafficking Awareness | Redeemed Ministries’ core competencies include outreach, aftercare and advocacy giving churches the opportunity to network and find their place in the fight against human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.


Society of St. Stephen

The church provides assistance to families facing financial crises in our congregation and the South Montgomery County area. If you would like to help with a special donation and provide much-needed assistance with food, clothing, rent and/or utility bills, please contact the church regarding a designated offering to this ministry.


We Will Speak

Foster Care | We Will Speak seeks to ADVOCATE for the children and teens in foster care, to EDUCATE the public on the problems with the foster care system and to EMPOWER teens in foster care to tell their stories in an inspiring way and be an instrument of change for others in the foster care system.


Young Life

Evangelism and Discipleship Ministry | Young Life is a group of caring adults who go where the kids are, spending time with them in order to develop relationships that lead to positive changes in the lives of these youth. Young Life’s mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.
