UPWARD CHEER: (PreK - 4th grade) offers opportunity for character-building, player development, and the formation of deep relationships between teammates and coaches. Upward Cheer is a great place for children to focus on learning cheer skills and the foundations needed for the next level of cheerleading.

Teams are split into developmentally appropriate age groupings and coached by volunteer parents, supported and guided by Recreation Ministry staff.

All cheer teams will have a team practice either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings during the week and cheer for one of our Upward basketball games on Saturday morning.

Cheerleaders will receive a cheer top (including long sleeve undershirt), skort, pom-poms, and megaphone as part of this league.

At the end of the season, each cheerleader will receive an Upward gift.

SPRING 2023 DATES

December 1: Registration Opens
March 23: Registration Closes
Week of April 3: Elementary Basketball and Cheer teams begin practice
Week of April 10: Pre K and Kindergarten Basketball and Cheer teams communicated
April 15: First Games
May 20: Last Games and Celebration
